Welcome to the official 'Tennis in the Park' website

What's it all about?

This new exciting partnership, over the forthcoming year, will use the tennis courts in Christchurch Park to deliver a tennis programme catering for all skills and ages.

Professional tennis coaches, from Ipswich Sports Club, will stage regular fun activities together with scheduled coaching sessions for all the family throughout the year. It is important to register here to play tennis in the park to ensure your place is booked for you.

Christchurch Park Programme

Tennis sessions, at Christchurch Park, commence on Saturday 17th April & Sunday 18th April, Tuesday 20th April and will run on these days throughout the rest of the year. See below for dates and times. It's free to join and free to play on selected days.

Tennis Timetable

Saturdays: 1-3pm 3 – 9 Year olds Free
Saturdays: 1-3pm 10 – 18 Year olds Free
Saturdays: 1-3pm Adults Free
Sundays: 1-2pm 3 - 9 Year olds £3.00 per session
Sundays: 2-3pm 10 – 18 Year olds £3.00 per session
Sundays: 3-4pm Adults £3.00 per session

Tuesdays: 4-5pm 3 - 9 Year olds 3.00 per session
Tuesdays: 5-6pm 10 - 18 Year olds 3.00 per session

The above sessions have a limit of 12 people for 1 coach and 16 people for a coach and assistant. The idea is it is a more detailed session to provide more quality feedback and more attention to each individual player. With demand, more sessions will be put into place.

Junior programme will grow as the numbers come rise. Focus will be on small fee sessions after school with the children being put into groups based on their standard.

Throughout all sessions a minimum of 2 courts will remain accessible to the public for free access and play
